Aubrey Faith turned 14 this October 13th when we were on vacation in Bryce Canyon and Zion. It was fun to be on vacation, but I think she also kind of wished she was home. This girl is growing up so fast and is full on teenager now. Aubrey is full of life and sass. She is often on the serious and quiet side when she is out, but is talkative and full of laughter at home. She can also be full of attitude at home. Is this a teenager thing?? Aubrey can be very helpful when she wants to be. She likes a clean house and is often cleaning up and helping out. I know that she does a lot to help me keep the house picked up. She is also usually pretty diligent with her school work, although I think this year she gets distracted more easily and often. She works hard and gets good grades though.
Speaking of school, Aubrey is in 8th grade this year. She is in her last year of junior high! So crazy! This year Aubrey is taking 2 hard classes at Sound Learning. She is doing Composition 1 with Mrs. Pope and Earth Science with Mrs. Doornink. They are going really well for her and she is learning a lot! At home she is doing Pre-Algebra, grammar, history with me and Raelyn, and BSF (Revelations this year). At co-op she is doing a crafting class and an easy hands on science class which have been mostly fun for her.
At home Aubrey loves to sing and listen to music. She has a beautiful voice, but doesn't believe me when I tell her that. I love to hear her sing, but wish she would listen to and sing better songs. I just don't like most of them or know them. Aubrey also loves to read and is often reading or looking at pictures on my i-pad. She is dancing just one day a week with Ashia in a Christian ballet class which she enjoys. Claire and her are best buds and they enjoy goofing off together. I think she is creative, but doesn't do art as much. She likes to do her nails still and is interested in skin care and make-up. 13 to 14 is big changes! She is really full on teenager now and I would still say a little rough around the edges and abrasive towards me. She is still hard to talk to and get much out of her. That being said I also think that deep down Aubrey is super insightful, kind and sweet. It just doesn't come out as much. And deep down I know she loves the Lord.
Aubrey still loves summer the most and most days I hear, "I can't wait for summer!" I think it is because she dislikes school, but also because she really loves the sun and loves to be tan. I think summer relaxing or going camping or boating is a definite plus too. She loves outside stuff and loves to ski in the winter and wakeboard in the summer. She loves to camp as well and Banks lake is her favorite!

Aubrey opted out of the questionnaire this year. They have mostly had the same answers for the last few years anyways.
