Church Camping Trip

Last weekend we went camping with our church and we had a great weekend.  There were 8 families there and we had all but one space in a loop.  The loop was so great because the kids were able to just ride around the loop for hours.  WE loved camping with friends because there were so many kids for our kids to play with so were able to visit and get to know people from our church better.  On top of it we had great weather.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

There was lots of bike riding and cute kids in helmets...

There was games of culligan ball where everyone had fun...

 diving for safety...

 big hits...

lots of laughing an smiling...

Aubrey wanted to keep up with Claire...

pulling off our shirts...

Of course we roasted and in some cases burned marshmallows...

and made and ate s'mores...

and saved some of those said s'mores on our faces for later...

and relaxing by the fire...

and eating more yummy marshmallows...

and riding in the dark with our glowsticks and arm bands...

We woke up happy our first night...

And then got ready for the day.

We played in the dirt and got really dirty!!

Went for a walk and watched some squirrels chase each other around the tree.

And tried to lick the sunscreen off our faces!

And gave such cute little smiles for the camera...

We played some cards.

And little and big people took naps.  (For the record Hans slept 3 hours--longer than most of the littles)

Some people were tied up...

Aubrey was mostly her cute little self although she did have a tough time getting in a good nap.

Cuddles were needed by mommas...

And did I mention that the kids got a little dirty?  I love this shot of little Claire.

We shared food together at a yummy BBQ and potluck.

Then roasted some more marshmallows and some more s'mores and worshipped together around the fire.

After a pretty good night of sleep it was time for some last bike rides while the mommas and papas were packing.

We should have taken a group shot the night before as we were missing a few that had already taken off but here is the crew the last morning.  We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year!!!

I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of our camper from the outside.  This being our second time out in the camper it was really fun to use and we got more used to where things were at and got a list together of things that would help in making things easier.  We had some technical difficulties the last night so we didn't have any battery power the last night or morning but we made it through.  We are all looking forward to some more camping especially as we get more used to our camper.

The last morning Aubrey standing and clapping for herself while I packed.  She is such a cutie!

I found some chalk and it was a great way to entertain the kids while we finished up the packing they had a great time drawing in the road.

The kids did not want to leave and said they could live in the camper forever and camp.  So I think it we will definitely be going again.  I am hoping we can find a time this fall to go one last time, but it may be tough with weather and our already busy schedule for this fall.
