Here it is July and I am trying to get caught up and honestly I'm having a hard time remembering May already!! I always say the pictures are my memory and really they are...if I didn't have the pictures I would probably have a really hard time remembering what we did in May, just two months ago. So I will do my best and hope I can remember what we did...lol!
May started off with a last for awhile. I have been a La Leche League leader for 10 years now and Kari has been leading with us for last 4 or 5 years and the meeting in May was her last with us for awhile. She and her family moved to Japan the end of May so this was the last meeting with the 3 of us. We are super sad to lose her, but thankful for all the fun memories we have had with her over the years.
Kari has 3 girls and they fit right in with mine with their blond hair! We will miss these girls for the next 3 years!
Stella wearing a unicorn sweater and hood...lol!
Cuddles with my baby! I don't want this to end...I feel so sad that they are growing up so quickly. So I soak up these cuddles and moments I get with her!
That weekend we attended a birthday party for Jada turning 13! It was a really fun birthday party. We played games and chatted and ended the night with an epic game of capture the flag. A super fun time with some really great friends!
My pretty kitties on our big log pile that needs to get cut up this summer so we can build a garden!
My shaggy puppy ate silly putty and got it all stuck in her beard and leg...notice her one short cut leg?! I did try to even it up, but this puppy is hard to cut her hair!
Claire before she got braces on her top teeth!
My last day reading with my Cubbie. The three younger girls all did Cubbies and Raelyn is all done with Cubbies now. A sad good bye of this time in our life.
Claire and I really enjoyed reading through her AWANA each week together and learning the verses. This year had a lot of good learning in it!!
Mother's Day weekend Olivia had her first dance competition. This year she chose to work on a ballet duet with her friend Kayla and they competed in the Spotlight competition the second weekend in May. Their dance was early in the morning...7:30 am!! So we had to stay at a hotel the night before and we stayed at the same place as our friends! There was only a pool and not hot tub so just the kids and Hans got in to play!

Aubrey worked hard this year on math. She did the first level of Saxon and for the most part really enjoyed math (except when she thought it was hard). And she is pretty good at her addition facts

AWANA is such a great program and the girls learned so much this year in their classes. I am blown away by their memory of verses and all the connections they were making between the verses they were learning and what we were learning at church. It really was a good year! This was the end of the year awards ceremony.
Raelyn finished her second year of Cubbies and graduated from Cubbies and will do Sparkies next year.
Aubrey finished her second book in Sparkies this year. The verses get harder every year, but she works hard and finished!
Claire finished her second year of TNT (Truth and Training). She was one of only 4 kids in her grade to finish their books this year. She worked really hard as they had new books this year which were much different than previous years. I appreciated her hard work and all that she learned!
And Olivia graduated from Homebase this year. She has been in the program since she was 3 and really enjoyed it most of the time. But now it is on to the bigger and better things. She will be doing a program called Sound Learning in the fall where she will take a science and a writing class.
On May 23rd we headed out for 3 nights of camping with our friends the Mills. We found a combined spot last minute at Belfair State Park and snagged them up. It was our first time out with our new trailer so we had a few little hiccups, but overall the new camper was great and we can't wait to get out in it again. I'm missing some of the pictures from our time so I have to work on getting them downloaded so I will come back to this soon and fix the pictures and add some videos...
Camping at Belfair in our new camper! We love our new camper! It feels huge of course compared to our last camper. 4 bunks, a u-shaped table and a couch! Amazing! We had a blast with our good friends the Mills and had pretty good weather for the time we were there. There was biking, playing games, some beach/water time and lots of yummy food! (these pictures did not load in the appropriate order so I don't know for sure what days they were taken on so in no particular order...)

This was the beach day on Thursday. They were MUDDY!! It ended with an unfortunate accident though which ended with Hans and I and Raelyn at the urgent care in Belfair. One of the boys found a sharp metal pick fork which they were using to dig with. So Raelyn got one of the prongs of the fork wacked into the top of her foot. She was crying hysterically, covered in mud and it was really sad and we couldn't really tell what happened till we saw the wound. Hans and I decided to take her in just to see if there was any cleaning they could do on it. Fortunately we weren't there long. They cleaned the wound and told us to use a wet compress on it for the next 24 hours to pull any bacteria to the top. It didn't get infected and healed up quite nicely so we were glad about that.
The second day at the beach was less eventful. They just played in the rocks and swam.

An intense bocce ball game!! I think this was on Friday.
8 Blond kiddos before we headed out Saturday morning! A good lookin' group of kids if I do say so myself!
