Highlights from October!

October was a crazy month and as usual quite busy!  We were back at the homeschooling and daily grind.  To add to that I was the lead planner on a reformation party at our church.  This was the first one so it was a big undertaking. With decorations, food, games, and much more to be planned it was a lot of work.

Then there was Aubrey's 7th birthday party so I seemed to be dreaming about unicorns and the renaissance time period during the month of October.

So the only way I can even remember what happened last month is by pictures!  Which I did not take that many of, but here is the highlights of October!

Goofing around and being silly and Raelyn's famous pout she gives when she wants something!

We spent a bit of time at the church the week before the party putting up decorations and preparing our booth.  We were there most of the day Friday with the Kopps as they worked on their booth.

And we had a chicken nugget picnic lunch while we worked!

Planning ahead for our reformation party costumes!  We all dressed in the themed of medieval attire. And Friday night we put on our costumes to make sure we had all the things we needed the next day.

We celebrated the Reformation Party on October 28th.  Although the 500 year anniversary of Martin Luther posting the 95 Theses on the door of the Wittenberg Church was actually on October 31st.  We arrived early and had dinner there and got our costumes on.  It was a bit crazy from start to finish to soak it all in, get some pictures here and there, help Raelyn go around to the booths, eat a little, hostess as best as I could and take in the night.  It was fun and I am hopeful and excited to do it again next year maybe.  I (and the kids) learned so much about church history and the Reformation and that part was really cool!  Highlights from the night!

Practicing before hand.

The reformers saying a little bit about themselves.

Did I mention we had a great turn out?!

Love this!  The hammer, 95 theses, and Nailed it!  Fun photo props made by Gina.
Sunday we finally had time to carve our pumpkins.  This year we did 3 pumpkins (2 I bought and 1 we grew).  They turned out pretty good and the big girls did a lot more of the work than they usually do.  I may actually carve 4 next year.  Raelyn was pretty upset she didn't get to carve this year and had to do the animal decorations.  Photos by Aubrey!

And some other random cell phone pictures which I have no idea where they go in the month nor do I care to figure it out.  Delilah like Samson likes to lay in the sink sometimes...Silly kitty!

We got our camper all fixed up and ready to sell!

And after a couple weeks on Craiglist we sold it and watched our trailer of 7 years drive off.  It will be greatly missed, but we look forward to getting new to us and bit bigger camper to make more memories in!

Aubrey had a sleepover with Audina on the night of her birthday party.  As always they had a ton of fun!!  Matching pjs for everyone!

It is always fun to play outside in the rain!

This was made by my friend's child and I saw it on facebook.  Thought the saying was hilarious!  maybe someday we will put this saying on something!

Curlers for the reformation party!

And finally Halloween!  This year we had the Kopps over to our house for wild rice chicken soup and bisquits and then pumpkin bars and caramel apples.  We went back to the neighborhood we trick or treated in last year and it was great. A warm night, not too many people out and the kids had a blast and got a ton of candy!

Olivia was the night sky

Raelyn decided to be Belle this year! She is such a cutie!

Aubrey decided to be a unicorn!  Very fitting for our sweety (and warm!)!

Claire and Kelsy were kitties!

And the yearly group shot!  They are growing up so fast!

A good ending to a fun and busy month!!
