The beginning of May we said our last goodbyes to our Hick's house. The Hick's house was our second house but the house was a labor of love as we bought the land, built the house and did so much work on it. Not to mention had a big chunk of our girls' little years at this house. Even though we haven't lived there for three years it was still hard to say goodbye. Even though we had outgrown the house and love our current house, this house will always hold a special place in my heart. I still love so much about it!! So we went on a beautiful night to say goodbye and take some last pictures there.

Then it was Mother's Day! Always a special day to spend with my family.
The girls and Hans got me a fire pit for Mother's Day. Now we have a place to burn up all the wood we have (and will soon have more as we are getting close to doing some major clearing!).
May is also the time for end of the school year programs. We started off with the end of AWANA. All three girls finished their books and received awards for finishing.
Next up Aubrey! She did amazing in her first year of Sparkies. We came home late, but she worked hard and got through her book even with the harder verses to memorize!
And then Claire! She finished her first book in TNT and even though TNT is a lot harder than sparkies she did great!

Next up was the last day of Homebase. The girls had a fun program to share with all the parents. It started with singing a song they learned during music time.
Then Aubrey and Raelyn's class shared a poem they memorized.
Claire shared about Isaac Newton a scientist she learned about in the final quarter of Homebase.
And Olivia shared about fingerprints in a fun little script where each kid shared about something they had learned about over the year.
Then Claire and Olivia did their Showstopper jazz dance they learned during the year in their homeschool jazz class.
Another goodbye...we sold our rental house and also decided to sell our pickup truck as it just wasn't pulling it's weight around here...lol! This truck has been great but we want to get a new (to us) camper with a bit more space so decided it was time to upgrade our truck to one with more pulling power! We got a pretty good deal on our trade in and purchased a 2012 Ford Ecoboost. The girls were sad to see the black truck go, but they think the new white truck is more fun with its fun capability to make phone calls and it has a lot more room in the back seat! I like that it has a back up camera so Hans can hitch up with out much help from me!
The last final program we had this month was for the homechool dance classes. Olivia and Claire dance every friday for an hour and a half doing tap and jazz with a homeschool group. It is a fun group of girls and they love the Christian music. So we had a parent's night to show off what they worked on this year.

And as we have since this class started I think we headed to DQ afterwards for a celebratory ice cream. I love how these kids are such good friends and despite the fact that many of them are different ages they include and accept one another.

Here are a couple videos from church performances. The first one is really neat with scripture recited, a flute solo and singing solo. It looks like they won't work, but they do. The second one was actually performed back in February but is one of my favorite hymns they did this year.
Memorial Day weekend was so nice. Unfortunately Hans was a bit under the weather and we had too many activities we had to be home for so we just utilized our time at home and played on the bounce house, in the pool, and in the sun. It was still a fun weekend!

A new favorite fun thing to do. Get unbuckled when we are on our road and open the windows and stick their heads out. Silly girls...sometimes it is the little things in life that bring so much joy!
Another fun filled really flew by month!
