April Highlights and a New Nephew!

This year has been busy and here it is the end of May and I am trying to remember what we did in April...HA! I can hardly remember what happened yesterday, and now I have to remember a month ago, since I am so far behind.  Let's see there was Easter which I already posted about and then we had school, walks outside, trampoline jumping, friends over, and a baby who hasn't been napping much anymore so then she falls asleep random places late in the afternoon.  Here are a few fun pics from the month.

Sweet presents from my baby

From playing with the doll to falling asleep on the floor...oh my swett baby!

The weekend of April 24th and 25th we went to the other side of the water for a homeschool conference.  Usually  Anna and Kevin are amazing and watch our kids, but since this year Anna was due on the 25th we decided to get a hotel to stay in near by and have Hans' parents come to watch the kids while we were away during the day. It worked out well because Anna had been laboring all week.   Both days we had an amazing time at the conference and learned so much.  Friday Mary and Eric had all 6 kids most of the day with the help of Anna a bit.  We got to see them that night and visit a bit.  Saturday, Mary and Eric did amazing caring for all 6 kids all day!  As on her due date (April 25th) Anna gave birth to Brecken.  She had the baby just as we were getting back from the conference so we were unable to stay and meet him that night.  But we were able to go back on Tuesday afternoon to meet our 4th little nephew.  (That's right we have 4 nephews and only 1 niece.)

Sweet baby Brecken looks a lot like his big brothers.  He was a big baby weighing in at over 9 pounds.  The girls loved holding him!!  It was a fun afternoon meeting Brecken and we can't wait to see our cousins again!

Bless their sweet hearts...

Aubrey's prayer the other day during our morning Bible time...

"Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that Mom stays alive and that she is a good mom and that she is the awesomest mom ever.  And that my sisters are the best sisters.  And that Raelyn will go to the potty in the night and in the morning. And God is the best God ever!  In Jesus name, Amen"

So so cute and I love the potty part as we haven't really even started potty training Raelyn but we do have her potty out and a chart.

And tonight she prayed for a family we know that just lost their mom in a skiing accident.  It went something like this.

"Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for the lady who hit the tree and died.  Help her to feel better and help her family not to do that. Amen!"  Ah, such a sweet heart even if she doesn't quite know the words to express it.

Here are some other cute things Aubrey has said.

On Christmas morning she was super cute with expressions of..."Are you kidding me?", "Oh, my word!" and "That is TOTALLY cool!".

Here is a conversation I had with her a few months back.

Me: Boy, I'm tired today!
Aubrey: That's ok, you can sleep in the night. I always think to sleep in the night.
Me: Yeah, it feels nice to sleep in the night.
Aubrey: Yeah nice to sleep at night, but not in the morning.
Me: Oh, is that why you wake me up in the morning?
Aubrey: Yeah!!

And here is a little thing that Claire was singing a while ago:
"There's all girls in our family. There are no boys because we don't like boys in our family.  There's all girls in our family.  Our mom never had a baby boy!"

I guess she doesn't mind that she doesn't have a brother and has all sisters!!

Raelyn has been saying lots of cute things lately too.

She will say...
"I have a 'dea" (Idea)

Come on Sisters!, Where are my sisters? Come on guys! (she loves to call them sisters)

Just now when doing cards for Mother's Day, I asked her if she wanted to write her name Raelyn on the card.  She said, "No I want to be...hmmm...grandma!!"

She also often saying that her sisters are her buddies.  Tonight she said, "My sissies my buddies!"  And then "Aubey is my buddy, Caire is my buddy, and Libbya my buddy."  And if she gets mad I hear her saying to whoever she is mad at.  "You NOT my buddy anymore!!"

I have been asking her lately if she will stay my baby forever.  She likes to say, "I not your baby!" Quickly followed by, "I your baby, mom! I be your baby!"  Love, love, love it!!

She has also been playing lots and lots and hearing her little voice and seeing how she is learning to play and pretend from her sisters is really fun.

Well this post is not super exciting and doesn't have any pictures, but I am BEHIND as usual and having a hard time finding time to get the computer cleaned up enough to get new pictures on.  Hopefully this weekend I might get a chance to get a bit caught up ;-)  Hopefully I will be posting again soon.
