Easter Festivities

Saturday here was gorgeous!!  The weather could not have been nicer and it left me longing for summer and nicer days!  I spent the morning baking and preparing for Easter, while the big girls went to swim lessons with Hans and then helped him wash the vehicles.  After a picnic lunch on the deck we pulled the table outside and dyed our Easter eggs out there.  The girls had so much fun doing this and are very proud of their eggs and want to eat one every day now.  In the afternoon we did some cleaning and then went for a walk/bike ride.  I walked with Aubrey on my back and took pictures while everyone else was riding.  It was a beautiful and glorious day.

I took a picture of the girls outside in the Easter dresses since I knew the next day would not be as nice and would be more busy with dinner prep and relaxing.  Then I hung up the girls' outfits on the buffet.  So cute all in purple.

I am so ready for nice weather!

Easter morning the girls got up and opened their cards and looked through their Easter baskets.  Then we got ready and headed off to church.  Olivia sang with the children, but Claire was to shy and stayed upstairs with the older girls.  After church we came home and got our dinner all ready.  We had our good friends the Kopps over for dinner and the girls had a great time playing while we watched some basketball and visited.  It was a great day!

Pictures

The other day I had to use the beautiful weather to get some outdoor pictures of the big girls.  So in the morning while Aubrey was napping despite the cool temperatures we went outside and got some pictures of the big girls.

Later in the afternoon after Aubrey awoke we took some pictures of her but mostly inside as it was a bit cold outside for her and the shots I wanted to do.

This last week I took Claire in for her 3 year check up.  She weighed 28 lbs and was 3 ft. 1 in.  And is growing well (and doing well with her potty training these days!!).

Aubrey weighed 15 lbs. 2 oz. and was 26 inches long.  She too is growing well and getting so big.  She is so strong and gets up on her hands and knees some and even her toes.  She is still mostly going backwards but she is able to get around a bit better.  She still is often frustrated when she gets stuck in a corner or away from her toys she was trying to get to.

Of course Claire needed another shot of her in her dress when she saw that Aubrey was in hers.  She is too funny!
