Ski Trip to Crystal

On Tuesday February 9th we headed up for our first time skiing just for the day and our first time at Crystal.  It was a gorgeous day!  We went with the Mills and Hinsons and had a blast.  Aubrey and Raelyn were skiing so well and I even made a few runs this time.  It was a long day with a 6 am leave time and not arriving back home till 7, but the kids are finally to age where we can make it through a long day like that.

Here are some fun pictures from the day.

These two are the cutest!!  They are really picking up the skiing and had a good day this day.  Nice warm weather and a great learning hill made for a good day.

How did she get so big??

Riding up the carpet with the big sisters.

It was sunny and bright!!

My little family skiing in front of me.

She made it down the big slope 3 times with no straps.  Doing some turning and snow plowing well.

When I had to sit down for a rest of my feet and knee she didn't want to stop and was mad that I needed to take a break.  But promptly fell asleep on my lap and there we sat for the next hour as my bottom near froze off.

And I watched the rest of the crowd whoosh down the hill for awhile.  These two little buddies had a great time.  Mr. Fearless is on the wild side and then there is my cautious Lizy Beans who didn't let falling or being behind get her discouraged she just kept going with a great attitude and at the speed she felt comfortable at.

Little Speedy loves to zoom down the easy hills.  I love watching her go!  She went till the very last run!!
And then we were headed home.  This cutie with her sunglasses on!  Love it!

The big kids went up the gondola with the dads.  Hans took this pictures...pretty great view!!

January Happenings

January has flown by and it is time for an update.  We celebrated New Year's eve at a friends house and played games and had fun till midnight.  The girls had a blast and we had fun learning some new games.

I didn't take many normal pictures this month.  We were busy getting back to the grind and doing school work, activities, seeing friends, etc.  Here are some pictures off my phone.

Silly Kitty

During the break we had operation potty train Raelyn and after a few accidents she got it!! Yay!!  She started going pee on the potty and we couldn't be more thrilled.  The pooping did not come along as well but tonight she pooped on the potty so maybe there is hope we won't be having poop accidents any more soon as well.  Great job Raelyn!!

And the Cinderella finally came down from the hood it has only been up there since July!

And then the Seahawks had a few play-off games so we had a few parties to watch the game!

Little buddies

Christmas exchange with the Kopp family.  We decided to do a "shop at home" gift exchange and it turned out really fun!

Love these sweet girls and their middle of the night cuddles.

Sleepover with friends!  6 girls on the couch watching a movie.

More Seahawk celebrating.

Daddy had a trip to San Diego so I took the girls to Olive Garden all by myself.  They did great even if we were quite a spectacle.

And we made a fort in the corner of the living room while daddy was away.

Cute girls!!

And then it was time for our second ski trip of the year.  This time we went with the Mills to our favorite spot, White Pass.  We stayed in a cabin in Packwood.  The kids had so much fun and it was really fun but exhausting for the adults too.  We spent 3 nights at the cabin and 3 days skiing.

First night watching a movie...

The first day was great weather!  We dressed too warm almost. I spent most of the morning working with Raelyn and she was having fun and doing great.

Yep too warm!  They took their coats off for snack time. And Holden did not want me to take a pictures of him...lol!

The afternoon consisted of lunch a nap for Holden and break for Raelyn and then some more skiing.  A really fun day!

Back at the cabin and Raelyn and Holden got into my make-up while the adults were busy playing games.  Looking pretty Holden!

Day 2 was RAINING!!  And boy was it raining.  The kids were soaked by lunch time.  Ashia and I did not want to brave the rain with the littles so we sat inside.  It was fun watching the kids and dads coming down a steep hill right in front of us.  It was one wreck or yard sale after another and then we saw that Hans was skiing down with Aubrey on his  back.  Oh those adventurous dads!!  The afternoon the rain stopped and it turned to mostly snow with a bit of rain and wind.   I went out that afternoon and did the platter pull with Aubrey and Claire and Olivia were there a bit too.  Hans tried to get Raelyn to go but it wasn't happening so he took her in and skied the afternoon on the platter with the girls.  Little Miss Aubrey loves the platter pull!  She could go up it all by herself and then she would zoom down with just a few turns.  I had to pry her off the lift when it was time to go!

Day 3 was up early to get the car loaded and then off to another day of skiing.  This day was snow, snow, snow!!  And it had snowed all night so there was powder!  I attempted to get Raelyn skiing, but she was tired and after walking from the car to the lodge and then almost back again I was tired too.  I did get a picture of the all the girls right before the day began, though.

After hauling our heavy lunch all the way to the lodge I was tired!!  Nice to have a break and after lunch we got a picture of the crew.

Realign likes to take pictures!

After the crew went on a couple more runs we headed out to ski with dad a bit.  It was late so I decided not to ski that day and instead took some pictures.  Raelyn had a better day and had fun doing a few runs with daddy.

And here are a few videos from the week.  The girls are doing really well!!

On the way home we stopped at Subway for dinner.  Aubrey had fun wearing the subway bag as a hat.  I think she would make a great commercial for them.
