Jammin' June-Part 1...Daddy Daughter Ball

On June 1st we had our 19th annual daddy daughter ball at our church.  Always a fun evening for dads to celebrate their daughters and enjoy time spent with them. I once again helped organize the event and it was a great success.  Dinner, devotions, pictures, games and of course dancing.  It was a fun night!

Pictures of the girls at home before we headed to the ball.  They all looked so pretty and I had fun helping them with their hair and dresses.

Can't get enough of these 4 girls! Love them to the moon and back!

 My loves!!

The group of dads and daughters this year!

It is always a challenge to dance with 4 daughters but the choreography this year was great for dads with 2 or more girls (which there are quite a few).  Hans got a bit of a work out with all the lifting, but they all had a good time!

Ashia played these girls tap song during the free dance part so they had fun "tapping" out their song and choreography without their tap shoes!  You will see their crazy outfits that they wore in the show in the next post.

Marvelous May--The Peter Pan Ballet and End of the Year Programs

Well as usual, but maybe more so than past years I am super far behind.  Between homeschooling and volunteering in so many ways during the school year and then summer travel and fun and computer problems on top of it. Yeah I spent a couple weeks with no laptop as we ordered a new one and then got all the pictures put on the new one from the old lap top I can finally get back to blogging!  YAY!  Hopefully I can pull some late nighters or find some time on the weekends to get this baby caught up before the end of the year. So here is May!  I will try to get this posted soon.

Starting off the month we have some cute pictures of girl who wants to wear glasses, 2 acrobats, the beginnings of Olivia's plant collection, and 2 hungry kitties!

Dress rehearsal at the studio!

Stella in the yard with my fairy garden, Raelyn in the kitchen, the wall in the guest room before I changed it to Claire's stuff, and Jada playing volleyball are in this group of pictures!

The Peter Pan rehearsal made it so we could not attend the end of the year program for AWANA which was a total bummer. But I told them early and the girls were able to get their awards the week before and I got a few pictures. Raelyn finished her first book in Sparkies and got her first book ribbon. And Aubrey finished all 3 books in Sparkies and got her Sparkie plaque! So proud of these girls and all the verses they have memorized and all that they learned over the year. It is a big accomplishment to finish their books!

We had some hot weather so out came the pool to play in one afternoon!

These girls are so strong!!
More plant collecting...Lupine!

I made a little garden in planters this year. Some things worked, others not so much. I will report on this come my August/September post!  These are my peppers and tomato plants.

We went out for Mother's day. And I was totally bummed I didn't get my usual mommy daughter picture. Will have to get a good one another day.

We got to watch some of our friends perform in the KCMT Beauty and the Beast show. It was really well done and the costumes were amazing! It was a fun show to watch!

The Peter Pan show was a lot of work!  The girls worked so hard starting the beginning of February until the show in May.  The week of show we were at theater 4 late nights in a row, for rehearsals, pictures and finally the show. It honestly is a bit of a blur and of course there are a lot of bittersweet memories. The girls had great parts and I don't know if there will ever be another show like this they are involved in.  There is a high likely hood it was the last at least that all 4 of them will have been in together. So without further ado I will show you the pictures!

A couple from picture night and dance run through.

And here are some pictures from rehearsal night on Tuesday.

These were taken after one of the nights of make-up, I think after the picture night.

The next night was full dress rehearsal and I hung out with the tigers in their tiny little dressing room. It was crazy and tiring, but fun too. They are pretty cute tigers and I couldn't watch the show anyways which was a huge bummer!  I was totally exhausted by the end of the night though!

Backstage craziness!
And then it was show night!!   Round three of hair and makeup for the week and they looked great! I always love them all spiffed up with their hair and make-up! It is a crazy marathon getting them ready, but I also have the process figured out better at this point. I do enjoy doing make-up on them as well. It is fun!

And then it was show night! This year because of the studio switch we only got one night of show and it was a Thursday night. It was definitely a bummer that they did all that work for just one show, but they all did amazing and the show turned out really great!  I love watching my girls on stage and it will never get old. Olivia played a narrative fairy and Tiger Lily. Claire was Tinkerbell. And Aubrey and Raelyn's class were white tigers.

This was the finale dance.

After the show we had to get some pictures of course.  They are always a bit rushed and hard to get and the tigers had already changed when we got back stage to get them.  That was a bummer! But we ended up getting a few good pictures.

After the show we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream of course to celebrate! I had to get a picture with each of my girls. I was and am just so proud of them!

When we got home we had the two tigers put back on their costumes for a few more pictures. Aubrey had to show us her flexiblity!

The flower counter!

Homebase had the end of the year program as usual. My girls did great and it was fun as always to watch. Raelyn's class did a poem. Aubrey's class acted out Snow White and the 7 dwarfs and Aubrey was bird. And Claire's class presented their art they made along with some verses.

Silly Aubrey with her silly putty mustache.

Playing googly eyes with Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Janice.

More random pictures of our cuties!

This May we also decided to add a patio to our back yard so we hired someone to put it in for us along with 2 water hydrants for watering with. So here are more pictures of the before and during of that process along with a few pictures of the girls thrown in for good measure! LOL!

Hans' project at the shipyard was also completed in May so we had an end of the project party down in Port Orchard. I took the younger 2 with me as Claire had dance and Olivia decided to stay home. It was a beautiful day and vineyard. It was nice to get out and visit with Hans' co-workers.

It is no secret I love cuddling with my girls.  I can't get enough of sleeping by these sweeties! Love them so much!
