October is always a fun month filled with Aubrey's birthday, some booing, fall pictures, and of course Halloween. This year I didn't get as many fall pictures taken as I would have liked, but I did get a few. The family pictures turned out ok. I am learning I need to slow down and not feel so rushed, but this is sometimes challenging with grouchy uncooperative children and sometimes even the spouse. There are definitely challenges to taking family photos with your tripod. I need to figure out how to connect my camera to my phone (because they can) and then I would be able to see the everyone in the frame (instead of seeing everyone but me in the frame and now knowing how I am going to actually look in the frame. Well anyways, this the October post and not the family picture post so I will get back to this post...lol! I am easily distracted!
Here is the October pictures and run down!
We had the Kopp kids over one afternoon and went "exploring" just a bit in the woods behind our house to get some fresh air! These kids are such good friends having grown up together. We always feel so blessed to have so many good family friends here.
The beginning of October I took advantage of the nice weather and tried to get some family photos as well as individual pictures of the girls. Like I said I didn't get as many of the girls as I would have liked and the family ones didn't turn out as good as I was hoping. We did a few out in the woods one day and then another day we did some more in the yard. I will be posting my favorites on future posts, but here is a sneak peak of our fall photo shoot.
This girl doesn't get to take baths often so I had to get a cute picture of her one night when she did.
A few phone pictures. Playing with neighbors at the outdoor kitchen.
A beautiful sunrise as I drove to my morning CrossFit workout. I started doing crossfit with a group of friends this summer and have stuck with it. I really enjoy the challenge of the workouts and the encouragement of friends.
More silly kitty pictures. This cat loves to climb in the cupboards or drawers or small spaces when he gets a chance.
Angel Aubrey from my phone!!
Look at these two cuties!! Shhh! Don't tell them I posted a picture of them sleeping!
Raelyn got another visit from the tooth fairy! She has lost a total of 6 teeth. 4 on the bottom and the 2 on top had to be pulled at the dentist because the top tooth was coming in high where it wouldn't push the baby one out and because they were so small, we were not going to be able to grab them to pull them out.
We had a fun viewing of the American Gospel at Gina's house one night. The kids had fun doing crafts and playing. It was a great movie and we have watched it again since then. Hans was actually back in Montana for opening weekend of hunting in rifle season. He again struck out and this time didn't even see an animal he could shoot.
I found these written during school time and they made me giggle and smile. Love these girls so much and their sweet relationship with one another.

We had multiple times of booing this year. We boo'd various friends and really we weren't that great! We got caught on one attempt running off their porch as they had the door open. We got the van stuck in the ditch on another attempt and had to ask for help from the people we were attempting to boo. It actually turned out to be a pretty funny story, but still! We had a few successful attempts. And succeeded at getting 2 friends to think we had boo'd them when in actuality we hadn't. But we ended the booing season with an ultimate booing of our friends that started that all! We had 3 cars full of kids and a 3 tiered plan to drop 3 different "boo" treats for them with 3 different groups of kids. The first one to be dropped was a bag we had with candy at the bottom and empty wrappers at the top! Haha! The silly string that the first group used made them a little mad so the other two drops went not so well. We had a lot of fun though and the kids thought it was great!
Here are some of our booing videos...
The boo crew!!
On the Sunday before Halloween I found a trunk or treat I thought would be fun to take the girls to and convinced my friend to send her 3 kids with me. So I took 6 kids to the trunk or treat. It was actually a beautiful day and a really good trunk or treat with a lot of cars and fun decorations! The kids had fun! I took Claire as a Chinese girl, Aubrey as a witch, and Raelyn as Tinker Bell.
Here are a few pictures we took before we left.
Then we picked up the Kopp kids. They were sports themed as a soccer player, football player (Russel Wilson), and a baseball player.
When we got home we continued the Halloween fun with having the Mills over (remember the dads were back in Montana hunting) to carve pumpkins together. The kids had fun and did some good carving! Plus we got lots of pumpkin seeds to roast!
Claire carved an owl that says boo.
Raelyn did a little bat.
Aubrey did great carving, the bummer was we didn't look at the picture close enough she was suppose to paint boo on with glow in the dark paint (which we didn't have) so it wasn't as cool as the picture showed of a ghost with Boo (that didn't get added).
Olivia carved I am not quite sure. I think it is a bat...
On Halloween we had trick or treating fun planned with the Kopp family since we have trick or treated with them every year since the kids were really little. We did have a bit of miscommunication about where we were having dinner so unfortunately Corey and Jada missed the taco bar dinner at our house. But then we got ready and went to Jada's volleyball game. It was a great match and at one point I took Rae to go to the bathroom expecting to come back to CK winning, and instead the other team and come back and then ended up pulling off the win. Another match then had to happen and unfortunately CK did not pull off the win.
After that we went to our favorite neighborhood to trick or treat in. It is the perfect size of a circle and the kids can all run along to each of the houses. They ran too fast. We actually did all the houses in about a half an hour! Crazy! Kids had fun and got lots of candy, so they were happy!
An outstanding October!!
